In FPGA you must compare resources; never gates.

So think about how many and which resources need to build your design.

MANY IGLOOS :) a lot of them :)

well generic rule: when you move FROM Actel to Xilinx or Altera you
are instantly FREE and happy, well this is relative,
but the other way is much more painful for sure

the gate count figures are not good usually for any comparison
