Have any of you tried Lattice's software for their new -EC parts? How close is it to Xilinx (they share a common heritage)? I'm trying to get a feel for its quality and stability. Things should be getting interesting when their 90nm -SC parts come out (vs. Stratix-II and Virtex-4), especially with their cool DDR I/O interface. Perhaps Lattice will make a come-back? -- /* jhallen@world.std.com (192.74.137.5) */ /* Joseph H. Joseph, I tried the software, and it looks good. As you mentioned, they share a similar GUI, even the EPIC editor is similar. Of course the libraries aren't complete yet, but it gives you a good feeling of the possibilities. You're right, with the introduction of the 90nm SC parts, I think they can compete with every other high-end FPGA. continuing the discussion about Lattice's DSP block, I found the following interesting article: http://www.fpgajournal.com/articles/20040706_lattice.htm regards, paul Luc Braeckman <luc.braeckman@pandora.be> wrote in message news:<lodne0lvp5eovdjm6v670bcrm4uod7vs1i@4ax.com>...> Joseph, > > I tried the software, and it looks good.
